05/26/2021 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Dr. Clementina Ceria-Ulep of Our Lady of the Mount Parish in Honolulu will be the featured speaker at Hawaii’s second virtual gathering marking the 500th anniversary of the arrival of the Catholic faith in the Philippines, May 29, 10-11 a.m. Her topic is “Joy: A Convincing Sign of Mission.”

Viewers will be given the opportunity for interactive sharing.

Seventy-one participants joined the first virtual gathering on April 24 when Father Edgar Brillantes and Father Adrian Gervacio spoke on “Mercy: Today’s Pathways to Mission. Organizers are hoping for even more participants for the second gathering.

The third and final presentation, “Missionary Transformation,” will be given 10-11 a.m. June 26 by Maryknoll Sister Rosalinda Barrozo.

The topics are based on the Philippine bishops’ pastoral letter “Becoming Jesus’ Missionary Disciples.”

The Zoom link to participate will be available a week before the event. The link can be requested by email at 500YOChawaii@rcchawaii.org by submitting your name and parish.
