Need help talking to your teen about sensitive topics? The diocesan Office of Faith Formation and Religious Education may be able to help.
In collaboration with Hamau I Loko, the office is offering “Discover the Dignity (for Parents Raising Teens),” a series of five Thursday Zoom sessions, 4-5 p.m., Feb. 18 and 24, and March 4, 11 and 18.
Hamau I Loko is an organization whose purpose is to minister to the dignity of the human person through the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and the “Theology of the Body,” St. John Paul II’s integrated vision of the human person.
Discover the Dignity is grounded in the Theology of the Body.
It is designed to “equip parents to have honest and loving conversations with their teens to envision a purpose in life, discover how dignity leads to true happiness, and discover ways in which their teen’s developing body and desires can be viewed as a powerful reflection of God’s creation and how we are to love ourselves and others.”
