Photo: Oh, happy day

10/28/2020 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Allen Agpaoa Pacquing professed perpetual vows in the Society of Mary (Marianists) Oct. 3 in Guadalupe Chapel on the campus of St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. Father Oscar Vasquez, left, provincial of the Marianist Province of the United States, presided at the Eucharist and received the vows. Father Tim Kenney, right, assistant for religious life, concelebrated and presented Brother Pacquing for the rite of religious profession. The newly professed Marianist had advice for others considering a religious vocation. “One needs to not be afraid of the stirrings of our heart but to embrace them and see where those deep feelings lead to.” He counts among his support system his parents, Joe and Linda Pacquing, his sister, Joselynn Pacquing Loiselle, Father William Kunisch, Father Dennis Koshko, Dominican Sister Malia Dominica Wong, Marianist Father George Cerniglia and others. Brother Pacquing serves as the Marianist Texas Area Coordinator, supporting about 70 Marianists in the San Antonio area. (Photo courtesy of the Society of Mary)
