  • August 5, 6:15 pm, Holy Hour for Vocations, Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, Kalihi. [Fr. Joseph Diaz]

Announcements/Appointments

  • Bishop Silva announces the retirement of Deacon Clarence DeCaires from diaconal ministry, effective July 9, 2020. Deacon DeCaires will still enjoy the full diaconal faculties of the Diocese of Honolulu.
  • Bishop Silva has reappointed Reverend Steve Nguyen, JCL, as Defender of the Bond and Promoter of Justice for the Diocese of Honolulu, for a five-year term, effective July 1, 2020.
  • Bishop Silva has reappointed Anne Kirby, JCL, as Defender of the Bond for the Diocese of Honolulu, for a five-year term, effective July 1, 2020.
  • Bishop Silva has appointed Sister Davilyn Ah Chick, OSF, to the Diocesan Pastoral Council as the Representative for Religious, for a three-year term, effective July 1, 2020.
  • Bishop Silva has appointed Mary Jean Bega to the Stewardship and Development Commission as the Maui-Lanai Representative, for a three-year term, effective July 1, 2020.
  • Bishop Silva is pleased to announce that the monastic community at Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit Monastery in Waialua, has elected Sister Celeste Cabral (Sister “CC”), OSB, as the new Prioress of the Monastery, effective July 9, 2020; and that the Prioress has appointed Brother Scott Whittaker, OSB, to be the Sub-Prior.
