Photo: Baby bottle donation

Gary Jose, the Knights of Columbus state program director, presents a donation check to Susan Duffy, president of the Pearson Foundation for the Pearson Place Pregnancy Resource Center, which recently relocated to 1145 Bishop Street, in downtown Honolulu, above the Pauline Book and Media Center.

The donation of $5172 came from this year’s “Baby Bottle Campaign” at St. Elizabeth Church in Aiea where the Knights of Columbus distributed mini-plastic baby bottles to be filled with coins and cash and returned.

The donations will help cover the operating expenses at Pearson Place when it reopens after COVID-19 restrictions are relaxed. The Pearson Foundation of Hawaii provides free pregnancy testing, peer counseling and material aid, for expecting mothers and families.

If you would like to donate your time, treasure or talent, or you would like to meet with a counselor, please reach out to Pearson Place at 808-942-0328.
