Photos: Chrism Mass and Palm Sunday 2020

04/06/2020 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Both the Chrism Mass on April 2 and Palm Sunday Mass on April 5 were celebrated privately at the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace by Bishop Larry Silva and a limited number of priests, altar servers and others involved in the liturgy. The Masses were limited due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions in Hawaii.

Photos of the Chrism Mass were taken by Hawaii Catholic Herald’s Patrick Downes. Palm Sunday photos are screenshots from the Cathedral Basilica’s Facebook livestream of the Mass. Click on the thumbnails to see larger images.

Holy Week services will be livestreamed and Easter Sunday liturgy will air on TV at noon on April 12.
