Dear Chief Susan Ballard and Members of the Honolulu Police Department,
Peace be with you!
On behalf of the people of the Diocese of Honolulu, the Roman Catholic Church in the State of Hawaii, let me express my deepest condolences to all of you on the tragic deaths of Officers Tiffany Enriquez and Kaulike Kalama. As we mourn their deaths in the line of duty, we pray for all of you who are their colleagues and who are more deeply affected by this tragic loss of life. We pray especially for their families and close friends that they may be strengthened and consoled at this time of grief.
May God, who blessed these fallen Officers with the gift of life, bless them more abundantly with eternal life and happiness. And may the Lord bless all of you in your service to the safety and well-being of our community.
