  • January 2, 10:00 am, Presbyteral Council, Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, Kalihi; 1:00 pm, Clergy Personnel Board, Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, Kalihi; 2:00 pm, Vicars Forane, Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, Kalihi.
  • January 4, 6:00 pm, Mass at St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Kaunakakai.
  • January 5, 9:00 am, Mass and Installation of Reverend Brian Guerini, SS.CC. as Pastor of St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Kaunakakai.
  • January 6-10, Annual Retreat for Priests, St. Stephen Diocesan Center, Kaneohe.

Announcements/Appointments

  • Bishop Silva has accepted the retirement from diaconal assignment of Deacon Ed Cho, who has been assigned at St. George Church, Waimanalo, effective December 31, 2019. Deacon Cho will still enjoy the full diaconal faculties of the Diocese of Honolulu in his retirement.
  • Bishop Silva has appointed Reverend Gregorio Honorio, Vicar for Clergy, as INTERIM Vicar General while the Bishop and Monsignor Gary Secor are out of the country to attend the Ad Limina Apostolorum visit in Rome from the afternoon of Friday, January 17, 2020, to the evening of Monday, February 3, 2020.
  • The diocesan offices will be closed on December 31, 2019 and January 1, 2020 in observance of the New Year.
