Photo: The Guild continues to give

12/11/2019 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Catholic Charities Hawaii’s chief executive officer and president Robert Van Tassell holds a check presented to him Nov. 21 by Hawaii Catholic Women’s Guild representatives Pat Alvarez and Phyllis Zerbe, pictured to his left and right respectively. The women’s organization closed this year after 160 years of charitable work in Hawaii and is donating the remainder of its money to charity. The guild did not want to reveal how much it gave to Catholic Charities. Their gift will help Catholic Charities’ programs for seniors and families. The others in the photo are Catholic Charities officials, Stella Wong, vice president for programs, far left; Tina Andrade, vice president for mission integration, far right; and next to her, Mary Saunders, vice president for philanthropy.
