Photo: Feast of Our Lady of La Salette

10/17/2019 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

St. Theresa Parish, Kekaha, Kauai, celebrated the feast day of Our Lady of La Salette beginning with a rosary and novena Sept. 10-18. The feast itself, Sept. 19, was celebrated with a special flower offering at Mass followed by a potluck featuring a hula choreographed and danced by the pastor La Salette Father Edwin D. Conselva to the hymn, “O, Mary Queen of La Salette.” The La Salette Missionaries have served at the parish for 30 years. The message of Our Lady of La Salette, who appeared in La Salette, France, in 1846, is to follow her son and to bring to the whole world the good news of Jesus Christ.
