The September 20 issue of the Hawaii Catholic Herald contained an article that praised Father George DeCosta. The article was published before it could be reviewed. It is important to note that Father George DeCosta has been permanently removed from priestly ministry because of a number of allegations made against him regarding the sexual abuse of minors, which have been deemed credible. He may not present himself as a priest in any public way. We are very sorry if the published article gives the impression that he is a priest in good standing, which he is not.
