“Be a Faithful Witness to All Mankind” is the theme of the 69th annual convention of the Diocesan Congress of Filipino Catholic Clubs to be held at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel’s Moku Ola Room on Hawaii Island, Nov. 8-10.
Members of four island councils — Maui, Oahu, Kauai and Hawaii — will gather to revisit and re-energize their mission and strengthen their commitment to serve and live Christ’s call. A shared responsibility to fulfill this mission directs members to join as a Christian family to build a Christian community among their Filipino brothers and sisters, uphold their culture and traditions, and enhance their development as a meaningful organization.
Members share common hopes and concerns for themselves and others through renewal, outreach, education, formation, worship, social ministry, administration, leadership and vocations.
Members and guests will participate in workshops, listen to presentations, take part in the award ceremony, enjoy local entertainment, and most importantly and in keeping with their mission, take this unique opportunity to make new friends, reconnect with old ones and thoroughly enjoy the loving camaraderie as they continue to build their Christian community.
The Saturday evening banquet at 6 p.m. welcomes members and guests. The cost is $65 per person.
Convention polo shirts will be available for purchase throughout the event. Shirts ordered before the convention will be distributed at the registration desk.
