Catholic scout leaders to host info session on scouting

09/18/2019 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Oahu Catholic Boy Scout leaders invite all boys and girls ages 5-18 and their parents to a two-hour “welcome to scouting” information and activity session, 3-5 p.m. Oct. 6 at the site of the former Cathedral Catholic Academy in Nuuanu.

The event, a meet-and-greet for anyone interested in scouting, will include the sharing of Dutch oven snacks, information sessions and a short urban hike around the neighborhood.

Hosting the event will be Boy Scout Troop 39 of the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa in Honolulu and Boy Scout Troop 311 from St. John Vianney Parish in Kailua.

Scouting is now open to both boys and girls. Cub Scouts are for ages 5-10, Boy Scouts for ages 10-18. For more information, call John Fielding at 306-6878.
