Resurrection of the Lord Parish in Waipio will host the Catholic Men’s Conference, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7. The event, which will take place in the parish conference room, will feature two local speakers active in Catholic ministries, Dallas Carter and Tito Montes.

The attendance fee is $25.

Carter is a small business owner, a Catholic apologist, national Catholic speaker, and a catechist for the Diocese of Honolulu. He has a degree in theology from Franciscan University in Steubenville and a master’s from Chaminade University of Honolulu. He and his wife Monica have five children.

Montes is a New Jersey native living in Hawaii, retired after 24 years of active and reserve military service, currently working as a senior operations research analyst at the Commander Pacific Fleet Headquarters.
