One more parish administrator taking position July 1

06/27/2019 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

One more name has been added to the list of new pastors and parish administrators assigned by Bishop Larry Silva to parishes on July 1. Father Marlon Belmonte, a priest of the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia in the Philippines, will be the administrator of Holy Rosary Parish, Pahala, and Sacred Heart Parish, Naalehu.

He is currently parochial vicar of St. Anthony Church, Kailua, and will replace Father Martin Mwanshibula, who had to return to his native Zambia.

Father Belmonte’s appointment makes a total of 11 new pastors or priest administrators starting July 1. The other 10 were listed in a story in the June 14 Hawaii Catholic Herald.
