The Knights of Columbus Waianae Council 11485 was pleased to present this year’s winner of its scholarship award to Mark Allen Boter of Kamaile Academy public charter school in Waianae. With a grade point average of 4.0 and high praise from his teachers, Mark Allen is truly deserving of this scholarship. Some of the things said about Mark include: “Conscientious and articulate.” “Outstanding and self-motivated.” “Known among the faculty as the brightest student we have ever had.” “Time after time, he has truly stepped into a leadership role.” Mark has been accepted at California Polytechnic State University where he plans to study biochemistry.
