Hawaii to join global rosary relay for priests

06/12/2019 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Hawaii is joining the Worldpriest Annual Global Rosary Relay for the Sanctification of Priests, 11:30 a.m. to noon, June 23, in the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace.

The Diocese of Honolulu has been designated to pray the Sorrowful Mysteries as part of the simultaneous worldwide prayer rally. All are invited.

According to the local event organizer Easter Almuena, children ages 6-17 will lead the five decades of the rosary in six languages, Hawaiian, English, Latin, Samoan, Vietnamese and Korean.

The Hawaii participation will be live-streamed on the internet, so that people can join the prayer at their own church, home, office or wherever.

For more information, contact Easter Almuena at Easter.Almuena@gmail.com or Kamalani Rodrigues at krodrigues@rcchawaii.org or 585-3357.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the rosary relay.
