04/03/2019 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

A fun-filled weekend of Portuguese soup, malassadas, waffle dogs, chow fun, nachos, BBQ teriyaki, burgers, mocha freeze and much more can be yours at the great Makawao St. Joseph Church and School Annual Feast, May 3-5.

The festivities start with a blessing at 5:30 p.m., Friday, May 3, with the event opening at 6 p.m. and lasting until 10 p.m. The schedule for Saturday, May 4, is 10 a.m.-10 p.m.; Sunday, May 5, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

At 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday will be a live valuable goods auction featuring golfing, gift certificates for dinner, hotels, activities and more, donated by businesses throughout the state. The traditional livestock auction is Sunday at 1 p.m.

The feast also features great local entertainment, games, Keiki Kastle, LLC Bouncers, crafters, a country store, plants, produce and a lot more to see and enjoy.

Mark your calendars and come one, come all, to beautiful Makawao (1294 Makawao Avenue) and enjoy a country feast.

Organizers are currently accepting donations, crafters and entertainment. Scrips are available for sale at the parish office. Call Donna Pico at 572-7652.
