  • March 2, 10:00 am, Diocesan Review Board, Chancery, downtown Honolulu.
  • March 5, 9:30 am, Plan Administrative Committee, Chancery.
  • March 6, 12:00 pm, Mass for Ash Wednesday, Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, downtown Honolulu.
  • March 7, 10:00 am, Presbyteral Council, SSDC; 1:00 pm, Clergy Personnel Board, SSDC; 2:00 pm, College of Consultors, SSDC; 5:30 pm, Prison Ministry Appreciation Social & Dinner, SSDC.

Announcements/Appointments

  • Bishop Silva has appointed Reverend Rheo Ofalsa as Pastor of Holy Family Parish, Honolulu, effective February 5, 2019.
  • Bishop Silva has appointed Deacon Gerald (Gary) Streff to diaconal ministry at St. Elizabeth Parish, Aiea, effective March 1, 2019.
  • With the de-clustering of Sacred Heart Parish, Punahou and St. Pius X Parish, Manoa, Bishop Silva has confirmed the continuing assignment of Deacon Vincent Wozniak to Sacred Heart Parish, Punahou only.
  • The Provincial Superior of the Blessed Sacrament Congregation in the Philippines has proposed, and Bishop Silva has confirmed, the assignment of Reverend Apolinario Ty, SSS, as Parochial Vicar of St. Joseph Church, Hilo, effective immediately.
  • Bishop Silva has appointed Suzanne Carlos to the Diocesan Board of Education as the West Honolulu Vicariate Representative, effective July 1, 2019, to June 30, 2022.
