The Filipino Catholic Club of St. Jude Parish, Kapolei, went caroling on Dec. 1 at two west Oahu nursing homes. Armed with song sheets, guitar, and other instruments, it was the fourth year for the dozen-or-so amateur-voiced singers boldly sharing their Christmas cheer at the Pearl City Nursing Home in Aiea and Ka Punawai Ola in Kapolei. For the delighted residents, the songs brought back fond memories of their yesteryears. Even the nurses sang and danced along. At Ka Punawai Ola, the audience wanted an encore — of the entire 20-minute repertoire! (Courtesy photo)
