Announcements/Appointments

  • Bishop Silva has accepted the resignation of Reverend Edison Pamintuan, MS as Spiritual Director of the Kauai Filipino Catholic Clubs and has appointed Reverend Danilo Galang, M.S., to replace him, effective November 3, 2018.
  • Bishop Silva has accepted the resignation of Deacon Efrain Andrews as the Diocesan Director of Prison Ministry, effective December 31, 2018, and has appointed Deacon William Friese to replace him, effective January 1, 2019. (Deacon Friese will continue his diaconal assignment to St. Jude Parish, Kapolei.)
  • Bishop Silva has appointed Edward Andrade to the Diocesan Planning and Building Commission as the East Hawaii Vicariate Representative, effective immediately through  June 30, 2020, to complete the term of Margarita Hopkins.
  • Bishop Silva has appointed Beverly Sandobal to the Diocesan Board of Education as the Leeward Oahu Vicariate Representative, effective November 20, 2018 – June 30, 2020, to complete the term of Antonio Boquer.
  • Bishop Silva has reappointed Abe Correia as a Member of Catholic Charities Hawaii, effective January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2021.
