Youth ministry coordinators of the west Honolulu vicariate, borrowing the concept of “Bagels with Bishop,” the program where Bishop Larry Silva meets for breakfast and conversation with the senior class of Hawaii’s Catholic schools, organized an “Evening with Bishop” for public school seniors. The bishop met with two dozen seniors from west Honolulu parishes April 11 at Farrington High School in Kalihi. The bishop gave an inspirational talk about relationships including the most important relationship one can have — with Jesus. The evening included a question and answer session, a Mexican dinner and more conversation.
