Expert on aging, author, attorney and professor James H. Pietsch, will be the featured speaker at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Pearl City, workshop and resource fair “End of Life and Aging Issues,” 8:15 a.m.-noon, Saturday, April 21 in its pastoral center.
Pietsch has co-authored several books including “Deciding What’s Next and Who in the World Cares — A Legal Handbook for Hawaii’s Caregivers, Families and Older Persons.
He is the director of the University of Hawaii Elder Law Program (UHELP) which provides year-round direct legal services at the law school to socially and economically disadvantaged seniors and veterans, as well as their caregivers.
A resource fair will be held 8:15-9:30 a.m. It will resume after Pietsch’s presentation.
The event is free and open to the public.
