04/04/2018 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Funeral services for Marianist Father Francis Nakagawa will be April 13 starting with visitation at 4:30 p.m. at Mystical Rose Oratory on the campus of Chaminade University and Saint Louis School, followed by a eulogy at 5:30 p.m. and a funeral Mass celebrated by Bishop Larry Silva.

Supper will follow afterward in the university’s Henry Hall courtyard.

The burial is 10:30 a.m. the next day at Diamond Head Memorial Park.

Maui-born Marianist Father Francis T. Nakagawa, a teacher, parish priest and chaplain to Hawaii’s Japanese-speaking Catholic community, died Feb. 24 at the Marianists’ center in Cupertino, California, at age 90. He was a religious for 69 years and a priest for 61 years. (His obituary ran in the March 9 Hawaii Catholic Herald.)
