One-day retreat centers on Holy Week

03/08/2018 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

St. Anthony Retreat Center in Kalihi Valley is offering a one-day Lenten retreat, “Journey to Jerusalem,” which follows Jesus on his final journey to the holy city where he suffered his passion and death, and rose from the dead.

The retreat is 9 a.m.-3 p.m., March 24, the day before Palm Sunday, at the Rose Hill section of the retreat center at 3351 Kalihi Street in Honolulu.

The retreat, directed by Sacred Hearts Sister Marie Lemert and Malulani Kamanu, will begin with a Mass. It will then explore Holy Week, “listening to Jesus’ teaching, observing his actions and feeling his passion and power.”

There is no charge for the retreat but a free will offering will be taken up. Lunch will be provided. Bring an umbrella.

To register, call 845-0065 by Tuesday, March 20.
