Photo: Celebrating Catholic educators

02/08/2018 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

At the Annual Conference for Catholic Educators Feb. 2 in Honolulu, teachers and staff decked in lei celebrate their milestone anniversaries of 20 and 30 years serving in Catholic education. The conference, which hosted several hundred Catholic school faculty members at Sacred Hearts Academy, began with a morning Mass that also marked the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord or “Candlemas” day. Here, teachers hold candles as part of the opening procession for the liturgy. The Annual Conference for Catholic Educators caps off National Catholic Schools Week, this year celebrated Jan. 28-Feb. 3. (HCH photo | Darlene J.M. Dela Cruz)
