Bishop Larry Silva ordained four new neighbor island deacons in three Masses on three islands over the last two weeks.
The newly ordained were the last of the diocese’s eighth permanent deacon class, which has 10 members, the remaining six from Oahu.
Andres (Bambi) Emayo Jr. was ordained at a 10 a.m. Mass, Jan. 20, at Immaculate Conception Parish, Lihue, Kauai.
Christopher S. Ribucan was ordained at a 10 a.m. Mass, Jan. 27, at Holy Rosary, Paia, Maui.
Craig S. Camello and David W. Watson were ordained at a 7 p.m. Mass, Feb. 2, at St. Michael Church, Kailua-Kona, Big Island.
Bishop Silva ordained the Oahu deacons at a 7 p.m. Mass, Jan. 18, at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, Honolulu. They are Glenn (Mike) Brown, Ricardo M. Burgos, Raymond L. Lamb, Rafael A. Mendoza, Jonathan R. Ocampo and Gerald E. Streff.
