The Hawaii-Southwest region of the Franciscan Associates held an installation of associate co-directors, and a commitment and recommitment of associates Nov. 18 at St. Francis Convent in Manoa. Associates Sister Patricia Schofield and Sister Miriam Dionese, both Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities, were recognized for their years of service to the Hawaii program. The new associate co-directors are Joy Yadao, Socorro Deguzman and Sister Marion Kikukawa. Kara Dreflak-Utley and Marina Talisayan made their initial commitments; Theresa Basta and Jason Goo recommitted for another three years. Sister Helen Hofmann, Franciscan Associate program director, led the ceremony. Associates Shirley Tamoria and June Segundo, with friends, enhanced the liturgy with their beautiful music and Hawaiian songs. Dinner and fellowship followed in the convent dining room with sisters from the region. (Photo courtesy of the Franciscan Associates)
