Photo: Appreciation gathering

11/16/2017 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Among the 30 priests enjoying the Serra Club of Honolulu’s recent annual priest appreciation dinner at the Hale Koa Hotel were, from left, retired Father William Shannon, Bishop Larry Silva and Sacred Hearts Father Lane Akiona, pastor of St. Augustine Parish in Waikiki. Founded in 1970, Honolulu’s Serra Club is part of a worldwide Catholic organization of lay men and women who promote vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and religious life. For further information on Serra, call Jack Kampfer at 621-0852. (Photo courtesy of Jack Kampfer)
