Catholic Charities Hawaii has named Jillian Okamoto as division administrator for its housing assistance and referral programs.
Previously the program director for Catholic Charities statewide housing assistance programs, Okamoto will head programs serving families, individuals and military veterans who are homeless or who are at-risk of being homeless.
Okamoto will also serve on Catholic Charities’ senior management team.
Okamoto is a graduate of Kalani High School. She has a bachelor’s degree in speech and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Hawaii.
Okamoto was named 2017 field instructor of the year by UH’s Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work for her role as an adjunct instructor. In her spare time, she coaches intermediate girls’ soccer at Iolani School.
