Saint Francis School in Manoa is hosting its third annual “Ninth Island in Manoa” casino night, 5-10 p.m., Sept. 16, in the school’s gymnasium. The popular event will feature dinner, drinks, gambling, silent auction, wine wall, bingo and much more.
For the evening, the gym will be transformed into a Las Vegas casino. The raffle grand prize is an actual trip to Las Vegas from Vacations Hawaii.
Ninth Island is the school’s most important annual fundraiser. It has already grown nearly 400 percent since its inception.
100 percent of the net proceeds goes to the scholarship fund. With more than 60 percent of its students receiving tuition assistance, Saint Francis transforms lives and opens doors with options to some who have little opportunity to break out of their families’ cycle of poverty.
