Come one, come all! The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet invite former students, colleagues, partners in mission, relatives and friends to celebrate with them their Founders’ Day anniversary in thanksgiving for their 79 years of presence, witness and ministry in Hawaii.

Join them in thanking God for his goodness and mercy at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning Mass Aug. 27 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa. Light refreshments and “talk-story” time will follow in the hall until 1 p.m.

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet began their Hawaii mission Aug. 24, 1938, at St. Theresa School and parish in Honolulu.

They especially invite anyone who attended the schools and parishes in which they were privileged to minister:

On Oahu, St. Theresa, Kalihi; St. Joseph, Waipahu; St. Anthony, Kailua; Holy Trinity, Kuliouou; Star of the Sea School, Kahala; St. Patrick School, Kaimuki; Sacred Hearts Academy, Kaimuki; Chaminade University, Kalaepohaku.

On Maui, Holy Rosary, Paia; Christ the King, Kahului; St. Anthony Grade and High Schools, Wailuku; On the Big Island: parish and diocesan ministry.

On Lanai, parish and community ministry.

In diocesan departments of Hawaii Catholic Schools, Hawaii Catholic Herald, Diaconate Formation, Religious Education, Social Ministry, the Tribunal; and in two departments of state government.

Come celebrate with the sisters 79 years of prayer, witness and service to the people of God in the Islands.
