- Bishop Silva has appointed Reverend Manuel Hewe as the Director of Spiritual Formation of the Deacon Formation Program, effective July 21, 2017. (In addition to his duties as Vicar for Clergy)
- Bishop Silva has appointed Deacon Michael Ross as the Coordinator of Spiritual Formation of the Deacon Formation Program, effective July 21, 2017. (In addition to his duties as Deacon at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Kailua-Kona)
- Bishop Silva has appointed the following couples to the Core Team for Deacon Class 10 beginning in January 2019 until the completion of the formation period.

- Bishop Silva has appointed Gwendolyn DeCoito as the East Hawaii Representative to the Diocesan Stewardship & Development Commission to complete the term of Allan Deehr, effective August 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018.
- Bishop Silva has re-appointed Melissa Pavlicek as the East Honolulu Representative to the Diocesan Stewardship & Development Commission to a three-year term, effective July 1, 2017.
