Saint Francis alumni homecoming luau to benefit scholarship fund

06/29/2017 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

E komo mai. E hoolaulea i ke ola Franciscan. Come and celebrate the Franciscan spirit.

The Saint Francis School Alumni Association is hosting its 27th annual Alumni Homecoming Mass and Luau, Aug. 5, at the Saint Francis School campus.

The event begins at 4 p.m. with a Memorial Mass in the convent chapel, followed by registration at 5 p.m. and the luau at 6 p.m. in the Almeida Student Center.

The cost for the luau is $40 for adults and $15 for children, 5-10.

Besides great Hawaiian food, the luau will have entertainment by the Waimanalo Sunset Band. The evening’s grand prize is a trip to Las Vegas through Vacations Hawaii.

The event will also honor the “Golden Scholars” Class of 1967 and other class reunions.

Proceeds will benefit the Saint Francis School Alumni Scholarship Fund. The alumni is also accepting donations from those unable to attend the luau.

For more information, call Sonia Wada, 398-5938, or Julia Brown, 247-2549.
