Photo: Emerging Franciscan Fraternity

06/15/2017 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Members of the St. Damien of Molokai Emerging Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order on Kauai pose for a photo. They are, from left, John Bonn, Bill Dick, Elsie Pasol and Cefi Costales. Missing is Allen Reis. The Secular Franciscan Order provides an opportunity for lay Catholics and non-order religious to live a Gospel way of life as established by St. Francis of Assisi in the Franciscan Rule. Members live their everyday lives and regularly come together in fraternity. This way of life is a religious vocation, a spiritual calling to make Christ the inspiration and center of their life with God and the Holy Spirit. The Emerging St. Damien Fraternity on Kauai meets one Sunday a month alternating among St. Catherine, Holy Cross and St. Theresa Parishes. For more information, contact John Bonn (Minister) 808-631-9320 or Liz Ishimitsu (Region Formation Director) liz.kipu@gmail.com. (Photo courtesy of Elizabeth Ishimitsu)
