Photo: Committed to the congregation

05/18/2017 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

At a commitment ceremony held at Regina Pacis Convent Chapel in Kaimuki, April 9, Sacred Hearts Sister Anne Marie Tamanaha, front right, religious mentor of her congregation’s Secular Branch Community of Associates, testified to their zeal in living the spirituality of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts. The Community of Associates was the first group of Sacred Hearts laity in Hawaii originating from the congregation’s exterior association. Throughout the years members have supported numerous charities and the Sacred Hearts missions in India, Africa, Philippines and Fiji, where the congregation’s seminarians study.
