P.J. Foehr named principal of Holy Family Academy

05/04/2017 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Father John LeVecke, administrator of Holy Family Parish in Honolulu, announced in April his appointment of P.J. Foehr as the next principal of the parish school, Holy Family Catholic Academy, effective July 1, replacing current principal Christina Malins.

Foehr had been a consultant for the Hawaii Catholic Schools office for a few years.

“I am so excited to be joining this community,” Foehr said in a news release announcing his appointment.

He said that, while working with Hawaii Catholic Schools, he found himself “missing the day-to-day energy of a school campus.”

“I am familiar with our staff and have admired from afar their talent and commitment to excellent teaching,” he said. “I am excited to join this team of educators and further establish Holy Family Catholic Academy as the leader in quality Catholic education in the state of Hawaii.”

Foehr has been an educator his entire professional life. For 27 years he has worked as a teacher, assistant principal and principal from pre-school through twelfth grade and as a consultant, has helped teachers and administrators with 21st century learning, professional development and communications.

This past year he was the assistant head of school at Waialae Public Charter School.
