01/25/2017 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Members of the diocese’s ninth deacon class, and their wives, gather with Bishop Larry Silva after the Rite of Candidacy ceremony, Jan. 15, at St. Ann Church in Kaneohe. During the liturgy, the 18 men in deacon class 9 publicly declared their willingness to be candidates for the permanent diaconate. They have just completed their “aspirancy year,” and will begin their next period of studies and pastoral work. (HCH photo | Darlene Dela Cruz)
