International statue visiting Isles next year

The International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, sculpted by Jose Thedim in 1947, will be in Hawaii from Jan. 29 to Feb. 4.

This visit is part of the two-year Fatima Centennial U.S. Tour for Peace in celebration of Our Lady of Fatima’s appearance to the three children of Fatima, Portugal in 1917. The Hawaii schedule is as follows:

  • Sunday, Jan. 29: St. Benedict Church, Kona, Big Island
  • Monday, Jan. 30: St. Joseph Church, Hilo, Big Island
  • Tuesday, Jan. 31: St. Catherine Church, Kapaa, Kauai
  • Wednesday, Feb. 1: Holy Rosary Church, Paia, Maui
  • Thursday, Feb. 2: St. George Church, Waimanalo, Oahu
  • Friday, Feb. 3: Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, Honolulu, Oahu
  • Saturday, Feb. 4: Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Pearl City, Oahu
