Young students from Saint Louis School and Sacred Hearts Academy greet guests at the Augustine Educational Foundation donor reception, Sept. 8 at the Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki. The reception brings together benefactors of the foundation with local Catholic school faculty and students, and diocesan staff. Bishop Larry Silva, in the reception’s printed program, wrote that “to date, the (foundation) has given out over $10 million in scholarships” to students in Island Catholic schools.
