The 2016 Portuguese Festa, billed as a “unique Portuguese cultural experience,” again this year promises music, entertainment, food and fun, Oct. 8, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at Hawaii’s Plantation Village at the Waipahu Cultural Gardens.
The event has been sponsored by the Hawaii Council of Portuguese Heritage since 1978.
The Festa will feature comedian Frank De Lima and other local entertainers, Portuguese bean soup, hot malassadas, vinha d’alhos pork sandwich, Portuguese sausage hotdogs and sweet bread buns, cookbooks, a country store and pickled onions.
There will also be craft booths and opportunities to trace your Portuguese geneology.
