A parishioner touches a first-class relic of St. Junipero Serra during a special Holy Hour for Vocations event, July 6 at St. Theresa Co-Cathedral in Honolulu. The relic was brought to the Islands by the Serra Club for veneration and for local faithful to ask the intercession of St. Junipero, patron for vocations, for more priests and religious in Hawaii. Local Serra Club members also celebrated St. Junipero’s first feast day as a saint, July 1, since his canonization last year. (HCH photo | Darlene Dela Cruz)
