St. Theresa School, Honolulu, fifth graders and their ohana participated in Matson’s Ka Ipu ‘Aina (“container for the land”) program March 6, cleaning the entire Blaisdell Park in Pearl City, filling 30 bags with trash. Thirty-three volunteers participated in the environmental service project under the direction of homeroom teacher Liane Bilonta. Matson donated $1,000 for the clean-up initiative, which will go toward a fund for student excursions. (Photo courtesy of Linda Nguyen)
