Photos: 24 Hours for the Lord

03/10/2016 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

124hourslord1124hourslord2124hourslord3Faithful in the Diocese of Honolulu joined other Catholics around the world in “24 Hours for the Lord,” an initiative for the Year of Mercy which Pope Francis called to be celebrated March 4-5. At the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, the 24 hours of adoration, reconciliation, prayer, praise and worship started at 5 p.m. March 4. Congregants, shown here, meditated on the Stations of the Cross, after which Capuchin Franciscan Father Gordon Combs led the Benediction and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
