Hawaii’s 43rd annual March for Life drew hundreds of people to the State Capitol Jan. 22 to mark the anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court Roe vs. Wade decision that resulted in abortion on demand across the country. This year’s march and rally included prayers, testimonials from guest speakers and music. Participants, with pro-life signs in hand, marched around the capitol and held a vigil with “luminaries” — white paper bags lit with flameless candles and decorated with pro-life messages.
