National speaker to address stewardship workshop

12/03/2015 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

The diocesan Office of Stewardship and Development is sponsoring a free “Parish Stewardship Presentation” for parish stewardship leaders, 8 a.m.-noon, Dec. 12 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 1525 Waimano Home Road in Pearl City.

This event will feature author and speaker Leisa Anslinger, co-director of Catholic Life and Faith, a center for pastoral leadership development in Ohio.

Workshop participants will also learn the best ways to communicate the stewardship message and to increase parishioner engagement through lay speakers, the parish bulletin, newsletter, directory and website, and ministry fairs.

Anslinger is the author of “Grace in Action,” a monthly stewardship publication by Our Sunday Visitor, and other books and digital resources for catechesis and stewardship. She is a frequent presenter at national and diocesan gatherings.

She also wrote “Here Comes Everybody! Whole Community Catechesis in the Parish” and co-wrote the prayer book “Desires of the Heart,” and “Forming Generous Hearts: Stewardship Planning for Lifelong Faith Formation.”

To register parish stewardship committee members, send names and email addresses to stewardship_admin@rcchawaii.org.
