Honor loved ones by lighting up a tree

12/03/2015 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

St. Francis Hospice invites the community this month to honor the memory of family and friends this Christmas season at two 27th annual “Light Up a Memory” tree lighting ceremonies. The events, which are free, offer encouragement and support, holiday entertainment and refreshments.

Here are the dates, times and places. Courtesy valet parking will be offered at both events.

  • Friday, Dec. 4, 6-8 p.m., at the Sister Maureen Keleher Center, 24 Puiwa Road, Nuuanu
  • Friday, Dec. 11, 6-8 p.m., at the Maurice J. Sullivan Family Hospice Center, 91-2127 Fort Weaver Road, Ewa Beach

Participants may make a donation in advance and designate the name of the person whose memory they cherish on a star to hang on a Christmas tree on the grounds of either the Nuuanu or Ewa location.

The donations support quality, compassionate care for patients and bereavement support for Hawaii’s families.

Send your donation with your loved one’s name to St. Francis Hospice, 2251 Mahalo Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96817. For more information, contact St. Francis Hospice at 547-8140.
