Announcements/Appointments
- Bishop Silva announces the approval of the statutes of the Joseph Dutton Guild and its erection as a Private Association of the Faithful with Juridic Personality, effective June 23, 2015. Its purpose is to promote knowledge of and devotion to Joseph Dutton (who worked for 44 years at the Hansen’s Disease Settlement on Kalaupapa, Molokai until his death in 1931), and to promote his cause for beatification and canonization.
- Bishop Silva has appointed Reverend Paul Li the Vicar Forane of the East Hawaii Vicariate, effective July 1, 2015 until June 30, 2017.
- The Bishop of Honolulu, the Vicar General, and the Vicar for Clergy are Ex-officio Members of the Presbyteral Council:
