1elect11elect2Two of the diocese’s catechumens who will be baptized into the Catholic faith on Easter Vigil signed their names into the Book of the Elect during the Rite of Election ceremony for Oahu at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, Feb. 22. Rite of Election ceremonies were also held for catechumens on Maui, Kauai and the Big Island during the first weekend of Lent. More than 190 elect are expected to receive the Sacraments of Initiation on Easter Vigil this year. (HCH photos | Darlene Dela Cruz)
