Measuring best practices in military and veteran education, Military Advanced Education (MAE) has named Chaminade University of Honolulu as a “top school” in its 2015 MAE Guide to Colleges and Universities. The guide, published in the December issue of MAE, is online at www.mae-kmi.com.
The guide reviewed the military-supportive policies of more than 600 educational institutions from community colleges to state universities to online universities. It provides information about institutions that go out of their way for men and women in uniform. Schools were evaluated on their military culture, financial aid, flexibility, on-campus support and online support services.
Chaminade has supported the educational goals of service members since 1967. It offers classes to military personnel, their family members and civilians at several Oahu military bases as well as online courses.
“We are humbled by the designation,” said Sumoha Jani, Chaminade’s associate director of the Office of Professional and Continuing Education. “It is wonderful to know that Chaminade’s degree programs continue to be well-received by our military contingent.”
